Terilyn is the woman behind Haightlove, a healing practice rooted in both personal transformation and deep spiritual connection. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she grew up as an only child in a home shaped by domestic violence. As a Filipino, Chinese, and white woman, she found herself moving between cultures and generations, which at times left her feeling like she was navigating life alone.

Her career began in corporate recruiting in Silicon Valley, but she has always been drawn to wellness. In 2016, she completed a yoga teacher training, where she was introduced to the world of woo. In one of the classes, the instructors held a group energy healing session, where she had a profound, life-changing experience that she couldn’t describe in words. 

She pocketed that experience as she went on through life, never forgetting how special that moment was. Late into her twenties, her childhood began to catch up with her—first as anxiety and then frequent panic attacks, to eventually moving into chronic health issues in her nervous system that she could no longer ignore. She saw all different types of practitioners, medical professionals, and energy healers for years, where she learned that the root of her medical issues stemmed from childhood trauma. This gave her the opportunity to examine her own struggles—her need to be right, perfectionism, hyper-independence, and the challenge of allowing others to support her.

Through this journey, she also was able to uncover her own spiritual gifts. She sought out teachers from diverse backgrounds, exploring various healing modalities and learning what truly resonated with her. Experiencing spirituality in so many different forms inspired her to make it accessible and personal for others. To her, spirituality doesn’t always have to be about astrology, crystals, or rigid practices. (Although, she can appreciate astrology, crystals, and rituals ha!) —it’s about self-connection, self-awareness, and discovering what feels authentic. She believes true spirituality is about understanding yourself and embodying that truth in daily life.

The name Haightlove is a personal homage to her family and the home she grew up in on Haight St. in San Francisco. It symbolizes both love and hardship—a reminder that even in chaos, balance can be found.

Creating this business has been the honor of a lifetime, allowing her to hold space for others and be part of something greater than herself.
